Vault is a bold, modern quilt with a two-layer sashing system and contrasting cornerstones holding it all together. It looks architectural. It builds simpler than you'd expect. The disappearing nine-patch method means (almost) no sashing strips to piece individually, less matching, and a process that moves faster than the finished quilt lets on.

Vault also has a color system. Every fabric gets a role — Hero, Soft Hero, Neutral, Anchor Sashing, Anchor Cornerstone, Blender Cornerstone, Contrast Cornerstone. Your Role: As a tester, you'll take Vault all the way through:

• Use the free Vault Design Builder to plan your colorway

• Read through the pattern and evaluate clarity and flow

• Cut and piece your quilt top (mandatory by August 4)

• Finish the quilt and photograph (mandatory by August 11)

Feedback will cover the color role system, the planner experience, and the pattern instructions from cutting through completion. Pull quotes may be used at launch with your permission.
